Radiant Descanso Beach Wedding on Catalina
A radiant + colorful wedding on Catalina Island at Descanso beach. Before moving to California, I always dreamed of how fun photographing a wedding on Catalina Island would be! To get to Catalina Island, you can take a ferry from Long Beach or from San Pedro. From Long Beach to Avalon, it was about 1 hour ferry. Once you arrive, you immediately feel the calmness of living on an island and how accessible everything is on foot or golf cart. Catalina Island is truly the perfect place to get married if you want a destination wedding, but don’t want to travel too far.

I met Bri + Dylan the night before their wedding and I can’t tell you that I felt like we had been friends for years. They were easy, so welcoming, fun, silly and just full of life. I have never met two people so meant for each other. Their day was filled with the best kind of tears and the biggest laughs, it was truly an honor to get to document their day.
Here is what Bri had to say about her experience with me: Catherine is an absolute dream and exceeded every single expectation I had. Going into the wedding we carefully picked who we wanted to document our magical day, because for us, it was one of the biggest & most important decisions we were making for our day. We knew right away when we saw her incredible images that we wanted her to be our photographer. However, what she delivered was beyond anything I ever expected. I remember when she sent over the sneak peak photos (so unbelievably quick btw) I was in full blown tears. Every single imagine was magic. Her eye for capturing the essence and beauty in every moment is unmatched.
I could go on and on about how unbelievably beautiful our photos are and how talented Catherine is. She is a master at what she does, and anyone lucky enough to snag her for their big day will cherish their photos for a lifetime.
Not only is Catherine the best at what she does but I honestly want to be her best friend (lol) and could hang out with her every day. I knew from our first phone call that she was going to be the calmest, sweetest person to have by our side on our wedding day. She is so easy to work with. She knows when and how to get the shot & makes the day so effortless. Catherine is unbelievably professional, so sweet and fun, and honestly just a joy to work with.
I told Catherine that I wish I could get married 100 more times so I could keep working with her. Really I couldn’t say enough good things about her. I could honestly go on & on. Catherine you are the best there is & we are so unbelievably THANKFUL.
