This is a guide on what you need to know to get married / elope at the Beverly Hills Courthouse in Beverly Hills, California. The courthouse is located 12.5 miles from LAX or 12.4 miles from BUR.
All civil ceremonies are scheduled between Monday through Friday from 8:30-4:30pm.
Remember just because you are getting married at the courthouse, doesn’t mean you don’t deserve beautiful and timeless imagery!
what you need to do first
BOOK YOUR CEREMONY WITH THE COURTHOUSE
To book your “express marriage ceremony” (that’s what the city calls them), you need to wait till you’re 3 weeks out. The city won’t book them any earlier. They release their time slots exactly 3 weeks to the day you need/want. Here is the where you can book a 45min slot with them.
COST OF MARRIAGE APPOINTMENT
The cost is for the marriage license and ceremony is $91+. This ceremony is done right at the window, as seen in these photos and not in the chapel. This route is a lot quicker and allows for more photos outside of the courthouse. You’ll also need one witness, or I can be that as well for you two!
BOOK YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER
I charge $1,200 for 2 hours of photography at the courthouse. All photos shot on film + digital. This includes your appointment time at the window and 1 hour outside walking around the Beverly Hills Civil center.
