Intimate Wedding at De Tierra Events Estate | Salinas, California
Intimate weddings at De Tierra Events is all that this Estate does, 32 guests to be exact. Which honestly, love so much. It’s perfect for couples who don’t want a large wedding. While intimate weddings aren’t for everyone, I feel that they are perfect for the couple that wants to just focus on the two of them and their closest immediate family / friends. This venue also offers lodging for your guests, which makes things super easy if you want to celebrate the whole weekend with your loved ones. It’s also only 30 minutes outside of Carmel by the Sea.
For Jamie + Karl, De Tierra Events was the right fit for them. They have been together for 10 years and after waiting all this time, it just felt right to keep things more intimate for them. Jamie did all the planning herself, her sister did her hair + makeup and J+ K even took the morning to walk around Carmel before they wed. They have been going to Carmel for years, and having their dog with them, made their wedding morning that much sweeter.

From Jamie: I feel so very grateful to have had Catherine capture our day and be a part of our wedding day. From day 1, she was kind, personable, professional and supportive. I first fell in love with her work on Instagram. Her eye for detail, the moments she captures and colors; but after meeting her, and learning how genuine of a person she is, I knew we would be in good hands.
There are so many ways Catherine went above and beyond for us. Early after booking with her, she happened to be in the Bay Area and made the drive to meet us while traveling. She walked through the venue with us and even greeted us with the sweetest gift. That's just a little bit into how insanely generous she is.
Leading up to our wedding, she checked in multiple times which I so appreciated, and even when there was an unexpected storm that rolled in, she was so supportive, touching base me with me talking through our timeline, and our plan of action. I really appreciated her professionalism and expertise to help in those moments when I felt stressed.
We had a small gathering of about 32 people, and with all the last minute changes that occurred, and honestly I know there are so many behind the scene details that she handled with grace, Catherine navigated it all and still made us feel so special. She captured the intimacy of our day perfectly, even including film (which she knew I had a love for). I will forever look at our photos remembering all the sweet moments we shared with loved ones, and thats all credited to her vision, and talent. She truly cares, and you can see it in everything she does.
