A Classic Winter Intimate Wedding at Blockhouse PDX

Wow what can I say about having a wedding at Blockhouse PDX. It’s a newer venue in town that has recently blown up, and it’s right next to Pomarius Nursery. I love that you can have a gorgeous smaller wedding in the middle of the city, surrounded by a bunch of greenery and natural light. It’s one of the most beautiful and unique wedding venues that Portland, Oregon has to offer. I had been dreaming of shooting at Blockhouse PDX for a while, so when Maye and Subomi contacted me a month before their December wedding, I was so excited! Because of the pandemic, like a lot of couples, they had to keep pushing and changing their wedding plans. When they landed on Blockhouse PDX, it was the perfect way for them to come together with their families, in a beautiful intimate setting. Maye wore this incredible Marchesa Dress she found in New York at the famous Klienfield’s and with all the florals, it added the perfect dramatic elegance. I am obsessed with drama a bow can add to a dress!

Even with the cold rain on this December day, this is one of my favorite intimate weddings. All the stunning details and personal touches, really tied everything together. Wait till you see the jaw dropping bows on Maye’s dress!
